SALARY: $131,200-$158,650, bonus and long-term incentive eligible

ROLE SUMMARY: 

This attorney will join the Anheuser-Busch Ethics & Compliance Legal team to advise clients throughout the company on a wide variety of legal matters.  This attorney will also lead Anheuser-Busch’s internal investigations of high-level allegations of suspected and reported violations of company policy and law.  This is a strategic position that works across all business segments for Anheuser-Busch.  It will be essential that you possess a deep desire to learn and grow professionally, are enthusiastic about our brands and projects, and proactively find solutions to complex problems while ensuring that we never take shortcuts.

Since this position’s reach spans across all areas of the business and interacts with senior leadership, it is critical that you take a collaborative approach to your work, have strong communication skills and present with confidence.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Trusted counsel and adviser to internal Anheuser-Busch clients.

  • Performing intake and analysis of allegations and reported violations of Company policy.

  • Conducting comprehensive and thorough internal investigations with professionalism and empathy.

  • Prioritizing while managing multiple complex investigations simultaneously.

  • Working closely with the People team on internal investigations.

  • Supervise outside counsel in high profile internal investigations.

  • Supporting the governance structure, policies, procedures, and processes related to business ethics and legal compliance. 

  • Identifying and conduct due diligence of emerging legal and compliance risk with potential to impact Anheuser-Busch and working with cross functional teams to facilitate risk mitigation.

  • Partnering with relevant business colleagues to ensure appropriate risk oversight of relationships with third parties.

  • Leading ethics and compliance training initiatives, including Anheuser-Busch’s annual Compliance Month to train all employees on the Company’s critical policies.

  • Advising on compliance topics and policies, such as anti-corruption, political law, data privacy, conflicts of interest, and whistleblowing.

  • Stay updated on evolving regulatory and enforcement landscapes and proactively advise leaders on emerging risks and required actions.

  • Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of compliance procedures and workflows to operationalize policies effectively.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school is required.

  • Member of the Missouri Bar or willing to seek admission.      

  • Minimum of 3-5 years litigation, employment law, or other relevant area.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with tight deadlines.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong presentation skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate well with others

  • Motivated to learn continuously and expand practice area to meet changing business environment and needs of company

  • Consistently able to prioritize and manage a large volume of files

  • Ability to manage projects autonomously with strong organization skills

  • Proficiency in the latest technologies and a desire to learn emerging technologies

  • Ability to work in our St. Louis Corporate office.
