Ripple Labs Inc. invites a motivated and exceptionally skilled lawyer to join our premier legal team based in London. This remarkable opportunity enables you to support pioneering financial services and digital asset projects. The position emphasizes capital markets, including traded products and prime brokerage. You will lead innovation efforts and play a vital role in transforming the financial industry.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Commercial Negotiation: Draft and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements supporting the company’s products, partnerships, and activities across multiple business lines.
  • Product Development: Collaborate with business and product teams to aid the development and introduction of new products and services.
  • Regulatory Advice and Licensing: Provide practical and commercially focused recommendations concerning financial services regulation within the UK, EU, and other international regions, including licensing and regulatory engagement.
  • Corporate Governance: Assist with corporate governance matters and other general legal issues as they arise.
  • Trading and Capital Markets: Deliver outstanding legal assistance across key capital markets functions, encompassing prime brokerage, execution platforms, and traded products.
  • Financial Services and Digital Assets: Provide legal support for various financial services and digital asset activities, including cross-border payments, stablecoin issuance, and custodial solutions.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING: 

  •  Qualifications: Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales.
  • Experience: 5 - 8 years' PQE with a background in capital markets, traded products, and/or prime brokerage.
  • Domain Expertise: Knowledge of financial services, traded products, and capital markets is essential. 
  • Familiarity with digital assets is preferred.
  • A solid grasp of UK and EU financial services regulation is required.
  • Professional Background: Experience gained either in-house at a financial institution or within a top-tier private practice.
  • Communication: Ability to present sophisticated issues clearly and concisely and provide succinct and practical legal advice.
