The role may ultimately be filled on either a full-time or part-time basis, depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate and business needs.*** Job Summary Cynosure Lutronic is seeking a Corporate Counsel to join our growing legal team. The Corporate Counsel will work cross-functionally to support Cynosure Lutronic’s expanding commercial and corporate functions. The successful candidate will be comfortable leading internal teams on transactions, engaging with internal and external executives, and making agile, business-minded decisions that align with company policies, strategy, and standards. This role will also play an important part in developing and enhancing Cynosure Lutronic’s legal and compliance practices. ________________________________________ Essential Duties and Responsibilities The incumbent may be asked to perform additional related activities as reasonably required by business needs, including but not limited to: Negotiate and draft a wide variety of commercial agreements, including consulting, development, distribution, clinical trial, software license, service, and sales agreements. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and industry guidance impacting the company’s compliance program, including federal and state regulations. Participate as a member of the marketing review committee to review physician- and patient-facing materials across all media, including digital advertising. Manage informal disputes and litigation matters in collaboration with outside counsel. Provide compliance and risk management support to the field sales organization. Advise business teams on compliance topics, including on-label promotion, privacy and social media, and advertising regulations. Provide day-to-day legal counsel on a wide range of employment matters to HR, business leaders, and other stakeholders on employment matters, including hiring, employee benefits, performance management, employee relations, mobility, internal investigations, Immigration, rewards, terminations, independent contractor classification and wage and hour issues. Conduct legal research and analysis of legal issues arising from daily business operations. _________________________________ Characteristics Highest degree of personal and professional integrity and ethics. Strong judgment and ability to recommend practical courses of action where precedent may not exist. In-depth understanding of business objectives and how they translate into healthcare, legal, and compliance priorities. Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, intellectual curiosity, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Confidence, resilience, and presence to engage with senior executives and establish credibility with key stakeholders. Collaborative team player who leads by example, with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. ________________________________________ Requirements J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school. Member in good standing of at least one state bar (Massachusetts preferred). 2–5 years of experience, with law firm experience (mix of law firm and in-house experience preferred). Experience negotiating and drafting commercial agreements. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
