We are seeking a Finance Assistant to join our team. This is a flexible full-time role (Maternity Leave Cover) where you will support our Counsel & Expert team in the processing of a high volume of Expert Fees with a variety of administrative tasks associated with the Counsel & Expert team. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be important in ensuring the accuracy of our financial data. You will work to ensure that we can deliver a high standard of support to the business.

This is a hybrid role with two office days per week on Tuesday and Wednesday, which are our designated team days. However, there is also the option to work from the office full time if preferred.

Key Accountabilities


Reviewing and posting Expert Fees to the ledger, ensuring they have not already been recorded and that all invoice details correspond with the relevant file.
Maintaining a high level of attention to detail to ensure fees are allocated to the correct file.
Managing the shared mailbox and responding to expert queries in a timely and professional manner.
Organising and filtering emails within the shared mailbox into the appropriate categorised subfolders.
Adding new experts to the system, ensuring all details are accurate and verifying bank information.
Assisting with payment runs on a rota basis.
Assisting with Court fees as and when required.
Working within a 48-hour turnaround timeframe to meet operational requirements.
Managing high volumes of work while maintaining accuracy.
Demonstrating strong attention to detail at all times.
Maintaining a focus on quality over quantity in all tasks.
Processing refunds and completing bill reversal forms as required.
Preparing and issuing monthly statements to Experts.


Experience, Skills and Qualifications


Data Entry- Accurately enter financial data into accounting systems and databases.
