About the role:

Haleon is seeking an exceptional Head of Legal Digital & Technology to shape and lead the future of Legal technology globally.

This is a critical enterprise leadership role, acting as the single senior interface between Legal and Digital & Technology. Accountable for end-to-end technology leadership, you will partner directly with the General Counsel and Legal Leadership Team to define the vision, set the strategy and deliver meaningful transformation across a complex, global Legal landscape.

Legal sits at the heart of Haleon’s performance — touching every part of the organisation, enabling decision‑making, ensuring regulatory confidence and managing risk. The technology underpinning this function must evolve rapidly. This role exists to make that happen. The role is highly transformative and presents a unique opportunity for a leader to have an enterprise-wide impact in a growing organisation.  

The Opportunity:

  • High impact, high visibility: You will operate at the most senior levels of the organisation, partnering directly with the General Counsel and their Leadership team to lead an integrated D&T agenda.

  • Real transformation to deliver a single, trusted “Legal Front Door” and service catalogue that gives the business clarity on how to engage Legal, gives Legal visibility and control over demand and delivery, and creates the foundations for responsible AI at scale.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Define and own the enterprise Legal Digital & Technology strategy, aligned to Legal priorities and Haleon’s long‑term transformation agenda.

  • Act as the senior D&T business partner to the General Counsel and Legal Leadership Team, shaping the future of Legal at Haleon.

  • Lead end‑to‑end delivery of the Digital Transformation programme (design, build, run).

  • Serve as Product owner for Legal digital platforms, managing the related roadmaps for architecture and investment to ensure value delivery and strategic alignment of investments and technology choices. To include the implementation of Legal Data Model and related foundations to enable adoption of AI and broader legal agentic capabilities.

  • Oversee Legal systems architecture roadmap, integration, data quality, controls and compliance across the Haleon technology ecosystem.  

  • Ensure Legal technology resilience, risk management and regulatory confidence (including Cyber incident recovery plan).

  • Build, reshape and lead a high‑performing global Legal D&T organisation, developing talent, capability and succession, aligning effectively with the wider D&T organisation.

  • Creating a clear vision for the future of Legal Digital & Technology and translating it into pragmatic, executable outcomes, an architecture roadmap that is prioritised and funded, aligned to the Legal Digital Strategy.

  • Navigating complexity, legacy constraints and urgent operational demands while keeping sight of long‑term transformation.

  • Building trust and credibility with senior stakeholders, including the General Counsel and Legal leadership team.

  • Leading change across people, process and technology — recognising this is not just a systems challenge.

  • Developing teams that are strategic, value‑adding and outcome‑focused.

Basic Skills

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in legal technology within large, complex, global organisations

  • Strong understanding of end‑to‑end legal processes

  • Proven ability to lead and influence in matrixed environments, including leading through indirect reporting lines

  • Experience operating at an enterprise and senior stakeholder (board‑adjacent) level

  • Track record of building and leading high‑performing teams, galvanising stakeholders, and delivering measurable outcomes

  • Resilience, credibility, and confidence to drive change at pace

Preferred Skills

  • Experience defining and executing legal technology strategy and transformation initiatives

  • Hands‑on experience delivering a digitally enabled legal front door

  • Familiarity with or implementation experience of ServiceNow Legal Service Delivery (LSD) module

  • Strong background in technology‑led innovation and transformation programs within legal or professional services functions

  • Experience modernising legal operations through digital platforms, automation, and process optimisation
