Deputy General Counsel & Chief Privacy Officer (DGC/CPO) shall report to and work under the direction of Senior Vice President & General Counsel as both a senior lawyer within the Legal Department and the Chief Privacy Officer for the entire system.
As Deputy General Counsel, this position requires the attorney to work independently and address a broad range of issues within the health system as required and requested, including without limitation, health law, corporate, regulatory, real estate, patient care, human resources and employment and other related business matters.
In addition, the DGC/CPO shall, as Chief Privacy Officer, have primary responsibility for developing, managing, monitoring, and overseeing the system’s enterprise privacy program and to oversee team members responsible for the privacy function. Core duties and responsibilities include:
