Responsibilities:

As an IT Legal Counsel, reporting to the Head of Corporate at Murex, you will provide day‑to‑day legal support to internal stakeholders, in particular the IT Product Sourcing team based in Paris, on technology‑related contracting matters.

Your role will focus primarily on drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of IT agreements, including software licence agreements, development and interface agreements, cloud services contracts (SaaS / PaaS / IaaS), data licensing agreements, maintenance and support contracts, and related statements of work, in close collaboration with Procurement, IT and business teams.

You will also support the Head of Corporate on selected corporate and Group‑level legal matters, including compliance‑related topics and ad‑hoc legal projects, and advise internal stakeholders on legal issues related to IT contracts, such as data protection and privacy, intellectual property, information security, outsourcing and vendor risk.

Profile :

  • Law degree from a reputable law school and qualification as a lawyer (or in the process of qualification) in France or in a common law jurisdiction.
  • Minimum 3 years’ of relevant experience in IT and/or IP law, with strong exposure to drafting and negotiating technology and commercial contracts (software licensing, cloud/IT services a plus).
  • Excellent legal English (written and spoken) required; French is a plus.
  • Solid knowledge of contract and commercial law; familiarity with GDPR and corporate matters is an advantage.
  • Strong drafting, analytical and communication skills, with the ability to clearly advise non‑legal and senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced, international environment, and to collaborate effectively across teams.
