This role is pivotal in ensuring that our partner navigates complex global trade regulations effectively. You will play a critical role in advising on legal compliance and mitigating risks, fostering innovative practices in global trade operations. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively across various regions, contributing to high-level policy decisions that enhance compliance frameworks while driving organizational growth. Your expertise will shape legal strategies in trade compliance, resulting in a significant impact on our partner's operations and success in various markets.

Accountabilities

    • Provide legal guidance on global trade compliance and strategic business initiatives
    • Advise on import and customs compliance program activities
    • Analyze current legal regulatory changes impacting trade compliance
    • Develop and implement trade compliance programs
    • Collaborate with legal teams to mitigate key global trade risks
    • Deliver legal training on global trade compliance requirements
    • Conduct trade-related investigations and audits

Requirements

    • Juris Doctor from a nationally recognized Law School
    • Licensed to practice law in at least one state or the District of Columbia
    • Minimum 5+ years of legal experience in global trade compliance
    • Experience with import laws and customs regulations
    • Strong analytical and communication skills
    • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
