AmTrust is a global insurance provider offering risk-management solutions and business underwriting. Today AmTrust International underwrites over $1.8 billion of gross written premiums and employs more than 1500 employees globally.

We are currently looking for a Legal Counsel to join our team based out of our London office on a 6 month fixed term contract.

This role will play a key part in delivering the legal workstream of a Third Party Risk Management programme, with a strong focus on contract remediation, regulatory compliance and vendor arrangements.

You will lead the legal workstream for these initiatives, taking ownership of key deliverables and ensuring progress against programme objectives, while drafting, reviewing and negotiating a range of commercial contracts, particularly IT vendor and supplier agreements. The role also involves supporting regulatory-driven remediation activity, including work aligned to FCA and PRA requirements, providing advice on risk, governance and operational matters across the business, and collaborating closely with senior stakeholders across legal, procurement, compliance and operations to ensure alignment and effective delivery.

To be successful you will be a qualified lawyer who is able to practice in the UK. You will have strong experience in commercial contracts, including proven expertise in vendor and IT agreements and supporting contract remediation programmes. Experience within financial services or another regulated environment is highly desirable. You should be confident managing multiple priorities, able to work autonomously, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.
