DescriptionThe Temporary Legal Counsel will provide practical, business-oriented legal support across a broad range of commercial, corporate, compliance, and operational matters for the Solvias Group of Companies. Please note, this contract is limited to 6 months.
This role is designed for an experienced legal professional who can quickly integrate into a fast-paced international organization and provide immediate support to business stakeholders while helping establish foundational legal processes and governance practices.
The successful candidate will work closely with executive leadership, commercial teams, Human Resources, procurement, finance, quality, and external legal advisors to manage day-to-day legal matters and reduce business risk.
ResponsibilitiesCommercial Contracting

Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including:
- Master service agreements
- Confidentiality agreements
- Vendor and procurement agreements
- Consulting agreements
- Service and supply agreements
- Quality agreements
- Licensing and collaboration agreements
- Support sales and operational teams with contract review and risk assessment
- Assist in improving contract templates and approval processes
- Ensure contractual consistency and alignment with company risk standards
Corprate & Operational Legal Support
- Provide day-to-day legal advice to internal stakeholders across multiple business functions
- Support cross-functional projects and international business operations
- Coordinate with external counsel where specialized advice is required
Compliance & Risk Management
- Support implementation and maintenance of corporate compliance initiatives
- Assist with policies, training materials, and governance documentation
- Help ensure compliance with applicable data privacy, anti-bribery, trade, and corporate regulations
- Contribute to enterprise risk identification and mitigation activities
Employment & Labor Support
- Assist Human Resources with employment-related legal matters, including policies, contracts, investigations, and workforce issues
- Support review and update of employment documentation and internal policies
Legal Operations & Process Improvement
- Help establish and improve legal workflows, document management practices, and contract tracking systems
- Support legal department organization and foundational infrastructure development
- Contribute to the creation of legal templates, guidance materials, and internal playbooks
Dispute & External Counsel Coordination
- Support management of claims, disputes, and pre-litigation matters
- Coordinate documentation and communication with external legal advisors
- Assist with internal investigations and information gathering
Qualifications
- Law degree (JD, LL.B., LL.M., or equivalent) from a recognized institution
- Qualified to practice law in at least one relevant jurisdiction
- Minimum 5–8 years of legal experience, preferably including in-house exposure
- Experience supporting commercial contracting and general corporate legal matters
- Strong familiarity with international business operations and cross-border agreements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills

Experience in life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotech, CRO/CDMO, healthcare, or regulated services industries
Familiarity with data privacy and compliance matters, including GDPR
Experience supporting fast-growing or international organizations
Prior experience in temporary, interim, or project-based legal roles
Exposure to legal operations or legal process improvement initiatives
