We are looking for a business-oriented legal counsel to bridge the gap between our German headquarter in Düsseldorf and our two European entities. You won't just be reviewing contracts; you will be the dedicated legal partner for our UK and French entities, deeply embedded in their growth and daily operations.

• Act as the primary legal point of contact for stakeholders in European markets DACH/UK/France in close collaboration with the Central Legal & Compliance Team.
• Own the commercial contracting lifecycle by drafting, negotiating, and standardising agreements (e.g., NDAs, vendor, SOWs, DPAs, partnerships).
• Serve as a strategic legal partner to leadership in DACH/UK/France, delivering clear, actionable advice on product, commercial, marketing, and regulatory matters.
• Maintain DACH/UK/France-related legal templates, clause libraries, and playbooks to improve speed and scalability.
• Draft, review, and approve promotional terms, advertising claims, and retailer or influencer activations to ensure DACH/UK/French advertising standards and consumer-law compliance.
• Advise on and resolve DACH/UK/French consumer-law matters, overseeing escalations where necessary.
• Proactively identify, manage, and prioritize local legal risks, implement controls, monitor regulatory changes, and contribute the DACH/UK/French perspective to global risk management and internal controls.
• Advise on DACH/UK/French GDPR compliance in partnership with the Data Protection Experts in the Legal & Compliance Team.
• Implement group-wide compliance requirements, standards and policies in the DACH/UK/France.
• Brief and manage external counsel strategically.
• Where required, handle pre-action correspondence and settlements, and coordinate litigation.
  

• You are a double qualified German lawyer. In addition to your German qualification, you are a qualified solicitor (England & Wales or equivalent) and/or have a maître en droit (qualified in France).
• You bring strong commercial and contract law experience, ideally from consumer-facing sectors such as retail, toys, technology, or media.
• You have strong legal expertise and the ability to manage complex matters and mitigate risk.
• You have a practical grasp of UK and/or French consumer protection, advertising standards, and core UK GDPR/data protection principles.
• You bring experience operating as a cross-functional partner, working independently while collaborating closely with sales, marketing, and operations.
• You have a business-oriented mindset and provide pragmatic, commercially sound legal advice.
• You communicate clearly and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity to collaborate across international teams.
• You operate with a high level of integrity, discretion, and accountability.
• You work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, international setting.
