About the Opportunity

As Legal Counsel, you will provide commercially focused legal support across a wide range of CleanCo’s activities, including renewable energy projects, procurement, planning and development, and general corporate and commercial matters.

Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, you will draft and negotiate contracts, provide statutory and contractual compliance advice, and help safeguard CleanCo’s legal and commercial interests. You will also support the development of legal policies, contribute to governance processes, and deliver legal knowledge sessions across the business.

This role is based in Brisbane and forms part of our Legal & Governance function. It is offered as a permanent position with access to hybrid working arrangements.

About you

• You are a qualified legal professional who brings experience in corporate and commercial law, with capability in at least two related areas such as energy, financial markets, construction, property, native title, procurement, HR/IR, or corporate governance.
• You are confident drafting and negotiating contracts and can balance attention to detail with a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach.
• You thrive in a collaborative environment, enjoy building effective relationships, and bring curiosity, professionalism, and a commitment to high ethical standards.
• You’re motivated by contributing broadly across a diverse legal workload and supporting an organisation with a clear purpose.
• You hold a Bachelor of Laws and an unrestricted Queensland Practising Certificate (or are eligible to obtain one immediately). Experience in a top-tier law firm is desirable but not essential.
