Legal Counsel/Senior Legal Counsel

[What the role is]

[What you will be working on]

·       advising on the interpretation of legislation under BCA’s purview;

·       advising on enforcement cases including reviewing of investigation reports and ensuring that sufficient evidence has been obtained to support the recommended enforcement action;

·       providing sound legal advice on a broad range of legal issues including advising on intellectual property issues; representing BCA in prosecutions related to offences under BCA’s purview with AGC’s support; and

·       working on such other areas as General Counsel may allocate from time to time.

[What we are looking for]

·       A good law degree (LLB Hons);

·       Advocate and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore;

·       At least 6 years’ experience in private practice and/or as in-house counsel;

·       Strong analytical skills and can independently drive the completion of a matter with minimal supervision;

·       Possesses effective time management skills;

·       A team player who communicates effectively with cross-functional stakeholders; and

·       Prior experience in litigation matters is an advantage.
