Legal Counsel – Turkey

We are seeking a talented and motivated Legal Counsel to join our legal team, with a primary focus on Turkish law and regulatory matters. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven legal professional to take on a meaningful role within a dynamic and fast-paced environment, working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams across the business. You will be joining a close-knit legal team of four, covering both Turkey and the MENA region. The new joiner will also be expected to support legal matters across MENA in addition to Turkey. Our legal team is culturally diverse, comprising colleagues from different countries, and regularly handles multi-jurisdictional tasks across the region.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

• Providing day-to-day legal support to the business on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters.
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide variety of commercial agreements, including but not limited to supply agreements, service agreements, distribution agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and licensing arrangements.
• Advising internal stakeholders on corporate governance requirements, regulatory compliance obligations, and general commercial law matters.
• Supporting the management of corporate housekeeping for the Turkish entity, including board resolutions, shareholder resolutions, and filings with the relevant trade registries.
• Monitoring developments in relevant legislation and regulation that may affect the business and communicating updates and practical implications to the wider legal team and business units in a timely manner.
• Assisting with the management of any disputes or litigation matters in Turkey, liaising with external counsel where necessary and ensuring that the company's interests are effectively represented.
• Contributing to cross-border projects and transactions as required, collaborating with colleagues across different jurisdictions.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must hold a law degree from a reputable university with a minimum of four to five years of post-qualification experience, ideally combining law firm and in-house work in corporate law, commercial contracts, and general litigation. Fluency in both Turkish and English is essential.
