In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in fostering a culture of integrity throughout the organization. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including HR, Legal, and Risk Management, you will design and enhance an ethics and compliance framework that supports the company's business objectives. This position demands exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to build trust and credibility across various departments, ensuring that ethical standards are upheld at all levels.
Accountabilities
- Implement a comprehensive ethics and compliance strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives and values
- Lead the conflict of interest program and provide legal advice on ethical inquiries
- Serve as the primary ethics advisor on compliance policies and procedures
- Manage the Ethics Help Line and the Ethics Office mailbox
- Prepare, coordinate, and conduct training on ethics-related topics
- Oversee outside counsel as necessary
Requirements
- Juris Doctor required and qualification to practice law in at least one jurisdiction
- 5+ years of relevant experience in ethics and compliance or related legal roles
- Experience supporting publicly traded companies preferred
- Strong judgment and professionalism in managing sensitive matters
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Ability to identify and mitigate legal and ethics issues
- Effective collaboration skills in a large, matrixed organization
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Strong decision-making capability and leadership mindset
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance environments is a plus
