We are currently recruiting for a Senior Legal Counsel to sit within the Benelux team, based in our Amsterdam office. 

As Senior Legal Counsel, you are responsible for independently handling legal and compliance matters for the UNIQLO business in the Benelux. You advise the business on a broad range of legal matters such as commercial, consumer protection, supply chain management, employment matters, data privacy and litigation. You will be working closely with the Benelux COO and colleagues from across Europe and Japan in many departments. This will include senior management, store operations, legal and compliance, information security and others. 

Skills, Experience and Attributes:  

  • Master’s degree in Dutch law 

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience 

  • Gained at a law firm and/or as legal counsel in an international environment  

  • Broad knowledge of commercial contract law, consumer protection, employment law, supply chain management and/or data protection

  • Ambitious and pro-active legal professional with commercial sense and pragmatic approach, combined with strong analytical skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with short deadlines 

  • Affinity with the fashion retail industry 

  • Fluent in English, working proficiency in French is preferred
