Senior Legal Counsel, Asia Pacific

CSL Seqirus is a global leader in influenza prevention and pandemic preparedness. We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel, APAC to provide expert, strategic legal support across our operations, commercial activities, and critical regional initiatives.

This is a highly influential role partnering closely with senior leaders across Operations, Quality, Commercial, IT, Procurement, and Supply Chain, while supporting Products of National Significance, in-license pharmaceuticals and complex commercial and government arrangements.

As Senior Legal Counsel, APAC, you will serve as a trusted legal advisor across the region, providing pragmatic, risk‑informed guidance to enable strong business outcomes. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing strategic legal advice to Operations, Quality, IT, Procurement, and manufacturing sites across the APAC region, including support for Seqirus’ Tullamarine manufacturing facility
• Acting as legal lead for quality‑related matters, including regulatory advice recalls, and participation in recall governance committees
• Supporting commercial operations in Australia and New Zealand, including product launches, marketing activities, and ongoing brand support
• Leading legal strategy, negotiation, and execution for complex commercial agreements, including distribution agreements, sourcing arrangements, pandemic reservation agreements, and designated in‑licensing matters
• Managing litigation matters and legal risk across the APAC region in partnership with the Associate General Counsel
• Providing expert contract drafting, negotiation, and risk assessment across a wide range of commercial, supply, services, and quality agreements
• Supporting integrity, ethics, and compliance activities across APAC
• Partnering closely with Global Legal, Enterprise Risk, Ethics and Compliance teams to ensure consistent, high‑quality legal advice

About You

You are a confident, commercially minded lawyer who thrives in complex, matrixed environments and can operate independently while influencing senior stakeholders.

You will bring:

• An LLB or Juris Doctor (J.D) and admission to practise law in Australia
• 5-8 years’ experience, either in‑house or within a law firm
• Strong experience drafting, negotiating, and managing complex commercial agreements
• Experience advising on pharmaceutical, regulated, or highly complex operational environments (strongly preferred)
• Solid understanding of quality, supply, procurement, and regulatory considerations in a regulated industry
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain legal risk and options
• A proactive, solution‑oriented mindset and the ability to manage competing priorities
