We are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel, Governance & Finance to join our Global Legal team in a high-impact role at the heart of Huhtamaki. Working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, you will help shape our corporate governance framework, support financing and treasury activities, and provide pragmatic legal advice on a wide range of matters critical to the company's success. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded legal professional who thrives in a dynamic, global environment and enjoys combining technical legal expertise with strategic business partnership.
You will be located at our headquarters in Espoo, Finland.
Advise on company law, securities law, disclosure obligations and other applicable regulations relevant for a listed company.
Be responsible for subsidiary management framework, insider management processes, General Meeting process and governance reporting.
Support external reporting and disclosure processes, Board governance and meetings, corporate documentation and investor communications.
Maintain, develop and advise on governance policies and internal governance procedures.
Provide legal support on financing transactions. Draft, review, and negotiate financing agreements and documentation.
Support treasury activities, M&A, restructuring, and corporate reorganization projects from a governance and finance legal perspective.
Master of Laws (LL.M. or equivalent).
Minimum of 7 years of relevant legal experience from a law firm or listed company in an international context.
Proven strong knowledge of company law, securities regulation, corporate governance and treasury-related legal matters.
Strong business acumen and ability to translate complex legal requirements into practical advice.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with senior management, cross-functional teams, auditors and external advisors.
Excellent drafting, communication and negotiation skills.
A structured and solution-oriented approach, with strong attention to detail.
Skilled in leveraging digital and AI-based tools to enhance legal work and improve efficiency.
Fluent written and spoken Finnish and English.
