Job Description
The General Counsel position offers a salary range of $225,000 to $300,000 annually and involves providing legal advice and strategic support to the executive team, with a focus on contract management, regulatory compliance, intellectual property, and litigation. Reporting directly to the COO, the candidate will serve as a trusted advisor across business units, contributing to strategic initiatives and ensuring legal compliance globally. The role requires a strategic thinker capable of anticipating risks and opportunities, making independent and collaborative decisions. Responsibilities include advising on corporate governance, monitoring laws impacting the company, developing legal strategies, and ensuring compliance in sales training and consulting sectors. The role involves reviewing and negotiating contracts, supporting data privacy efforts, safeguarding intellectual property, managing risk and insurance policies, and optimizing legal workflows. Additionally, the General Counsel will oversee litigation, resolve disputes, and coordinate with external legal counsel. Preferred experience includes e-commerce terms, TCPA, FTC, SEC, M&A, and more. Qualifications mandate an on-site presence in Aventura, FL, with a JD, active Florida bar membership, at least 15 years of legal experience—10 in-house—expertise in privacy, contracts, IP, and corporate law, and a proven leadership track record. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, collaborative, and experienced in AI/data-related legal matters.
