Enterprise legal leadership. eCommerce and distribution at scale. Real impact where it matters.

What does it look like to lead legal strategy where eCommerce, distribution, and regulation intersect every day?

At 2nd Adventure Services, you will serve as the top legal leader supporting Brownells, Crow Wholesale, and AR15.COM across a multi-channel eCommerce and distribution business in the firearms and outdoor space. This is a General Counsel role with a clear mandate to enable growth, reduce friction, and protect the business in a highly regulated industry. The role places a strong emphasis on proactive legal strategy and close partnership with the business. As General Counsel, you will sit on the executive leadership team, report directly to the CEO, and shape how the business operates across digital commerce, logistics, and distribution.

Where You’ll Make the Greatest Impact

This role is anchored in eCommerce, distribution, and logistics legal strategy.

As General Counsel, you will:

  • Lead legal strategy for distribution and logistics, including carrier agreements, vendor partnerships, and navigating state, federal, and international shipping regulations
  • Advise on eCommerce operations, including customer policies, consumer protection and data privacy laws, digital compliance, and marketing practices
  • Oversee and manage outside counsel relationships, ensuring effective litigation strategy and cost-efficient legal support
  • Serve as the enterprise legal and compliance leader, overseeing legal strategy, risk management, and governance across the organization

Why 2nd Adventure Services

  • Executive influence: Report directly to the CEO and help shape enterprise strategy
  • Complex, meaningful work: Support a highly regulated industry across B2B, DTC, and law enforcement/government channels
  • Mission-driven environment: Serve a passionate community of firearm and outdoor enthusiasts
  • Strong foundation: Lead an established legal and compliance team while building for the future

What You Bring

You bring 10+ years of legal experience, with a track record of advising organizations operating in complex, regulated environments.

  • Significant experience supporting eCommerce, distribution, logistics, or comparable operational environments, including consumer protection and data privacy laws
  • Strength in commercial agreements and regulatory risk management
  • Demonstrated ability to build scalable compliance frameworks in complex, regulated environments
  • Ability to translate complex legal requirements into clear, actionable guidance
  • Forward-looking mindset, with the ability to anticipate regulatory and industry changes and position the business proactively
  • Strong relationship-building skills, including partnerships with external stakeholders (e.g., carriers, vendors, regulatory bodies)
  • A collaborative, business-minded leadership style with strong executive presence
  • Experience advising on international operations, cross-border transactions, or global regulatory frameworks

We are open to candidates from a variety of backgrounds, including those with equivalent military legal experience (e.g., Judge Advocate General Corps) transitioning into the private sector, as well as experienced in-house or law firm attorneys ready to operate at the executive level.
