Description

Our client is a leading iGaming solutions provider offering a comprehensive range of products for online casinos and sportsbooks, including game aggregation, payment integration, licensing support and turnkey platform development. The company specializes in innovative technologies such as AI-powered analytics and crypto-friendly systems, serving clients across Europe, Asia and Latin America. As the business continues to scale and expand into new regulated markets, we are now looking for a proactive Head of Legal and Compliance who will strengthen the company’s legal foundation and support its international growth.



Requirements
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, and solid experience in developing, managing, and optimizing legal processes in an international company.
  • Strong experience in private international law, contract law, corporate law, tax law, and regulatory compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with compliance, AML, GDPR, and global data privacy regulations.
  • Experience handling multi-party negotiations and complex commercial deals across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements in jurisdictions such as MGA, Curaçao, Isle of Man, ONJN, Greece, Brazil or other regulated markets will be a big plus.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in IT corporate legal environment.
  • Higher legal education, preferably obtained at a Czech university.
  • Ability to travel freely within the EU and internationally without visa restrictions.
  • Practical experience working within the Czech legal framework.
  • Excellent command of English, with the ability to draft and negotiate legal documents.

Key Responsibilities

Legal Strategy and Governance

  • Develop and execute legal strategy aligned with business objectives and market expansion plans.
  • Assess legal risks of entering new markets in Europe, Latin America, Asia, and Africa, and prepare actionable recommendations.
  • Create licensing, content certification, and deal-structuring roadmaps for regulated jurisdictions.
  • Maintain and optimize the corporate structure of the group, including SPVs, subsidiaries, and partner entities.

Public Representation

  • Actively represent the company at industry exhibitions, conferences, regulatory forums, and other public events.
  • Develop relationships with external advisors, including law firms.
  • Contractual Support and Negotiations
  • Draft, negotiate, and maintain contracts with operators, studios, aggregators, payment providers and technology partners, including NDA, SLA, MSA, sublicensing, royalty, and White Label / Turnkey contracts.
  • Develop and regularly update contract templates to implement current legal and regulatory requirements, and business practices.
  • Participate in negotiations with key partners and investors.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Requirements
  • Monitor and implement regulatory requirements issued by the relevant licensing authorities (e.g. Curaçao, MGA, Isle of Man, Romania ONJN, Greece, Brazil, etc.).
  • Organize and oversee AML, KYC, and Responsible Gaming compliance processes.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce GDPR, DPDP, and other privacy policies.
  • Ensure that the company's corporate processes align with legal and regulatory requirements applicable to the company’s clients and partners.


    Cross-department Legal Support
  • Sales and Account Management – conduct client due diligence, prepare offer documentation, verify payments.
  • Product and Tech – legal support for integrations, intellectual property, API documentation, and content licensing.
  • Marketing – review marketing campaigns, media rights, promotional activities, and collaborations with content creators (influencers, streamers, tournaments).
  • HR and Operations – advise on employment matters, relocations, and contractor arrangements.

    Risk Management and Litigation
  • Identify and mitigate legal risks across operations, tax, sanctions, IP.
  • Handle pre-litigation claims, legal notices, settlement efforts.
  • Prepare and defend the company’s legal position in cases involving operators, partners and regulators.
  • Oversee external law firms and other advisors.
  • Implement and maintain a system of regular legal audits and due diligence of key counterparties.

Team and Process Management

  • Build, manage, and develop an internal legal and compliance team (5+ members).
  • Develop internal policies relating to the functioning of the legal department, such as contract and document management guidelines, document-retention procedures, approval workflows, reporting standards, and compliance protocols.
  • Implement automation tools, including templates, electronic signatures, CRM integrations, and other document-management systems.
  • Train other departments on contract fundamentals and regulatory discipline.
