About the Team
Our national Insurance & Health practice combines deep industry knowledge with local expertise and the highest standards of client service. Our team of more than 300 specialist lawyers has the depth of experience and agility to help our clients, both in Australia and overseas, to navigate the complex risk landscape and support their insureds.

About the Role
An engaging opportunity awaits you as a Special Counsel in our health law team in Brisbane. The role will involve a mix of health and general liability matters, acting for medical and allied health professionals and other health care providers in a variety of claims, disciplinary proceedings, litigated proceedings and coronial inquests. You’ll collaborate with a team of specialists in their field headed up by Rob Samut and Sam Pillay – principals who are committed to empowering you and your career progression.

About You

• you are an experienced practitioner in the defendant insurance space in health law;
• you enjoy building client relationships and achieving excellent outcomes for your clients;
• you draw on your own experience as a junior practitioner and recognise the importance of mentorship, willingly sharing your knowledge and expertise with others; and
• you are an all-rounder and a problem-solver who values collaboration and understands the importance of people and strong working relationships.
