Legal Counsel

Why we need this role

Manage legal matters, provide legal advice, translate legal requirements and effectively communicate with business and external stakeholders.

What you will do

Legal Counsels advise executive members on new laws, existing ones, and legal rights that would impact the functionality of the business. They oversee all aspects within this sphere, including acting as its representative; maintaining knowledge about the company's documents and operations.

What we're looking for

Typical tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Providing legal counsel to executives, managers, and employees on various legal issues and matters.

• Ensuring that contracts comply with legal requirements and accurately reflect the Colt’s intentions.

• Identifying and assessing legal risks faced by the organisation.

• Providing guidance on employment-related legal matters.

• Assisting with corporate governance matters, including board meetings, shareholder relations etc.

• Managing relationships with external law firms, legal service providers, regulatory authorities, and other external stakeholders.

• Utilising specific legal area expertise (example, Corporate, Data Protection, Employment)
