Location: Kurna village, Rae parish
We are seeking for Legal Counsel Baltics to join the IKEA Retail Baltic organization. You will be a member of a dynamic team of lawyers, who work closely together as well as independently to meet the needs of the IKEA market organizations in the Baltic countries.
You will provide practical, business-oriented legal advice to various stakeholders within IKEA Baltics companies located in Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. This may include legal assistance in labour /employment law, commercial law, contracts, real estate related questions, and other questions. On top of that, we will look for your support to local and Baltic organization in other questions like corporate law, consumers and other areas of law in retail area.
• Provide high-quality and efficient legal advice
• Advise stakeholders on legal and business risks
• Negotiate, write and review local and pan-Baltic contracts and agreements
• Help to develop and implement internal policies, processes, template agreements, checklists and other tools
• Develop competence and provide training to relevant stakeholders in the area of application of laws and internal policies and processes
• Active cooperation with IKEA Baltic legal team members in other Baltic countries in order to secure alignment of country agenda
• Communicate and negotiate with external parties (regulators, external counsels, supervisory authorities etc.), creating relations of trust
• Conduct your work with integrity and responsibility
• You have at least three years’ experience as a Lawyer / In-house Legal Counsel and have a University Degree in Law
• Previous experience in legal work within regulatory as labour /employment law, commercial law, contracts (B2B, B2C), real estate transactions, retail matters will be an advantage
• Excellent knowledge of Estonian language and ability to work in English (fluent spoken and written English)
• You have a good analytical capability and pay attention to detail, at the same time you are pragmatic, understanding business-approach and have a good deal of common sense
• You have a down-to-earth attitude with values corresponding to the IKEA values
• You are ready to take responsibility and are self-motivated
• You communicate in a clear and simple way
• You are knowledgeable and reliable and act with integrity
• You maintain perspective and resilience in a sometimes hectic working environment
