Role Overview
As Legal Counsel, Commercial & Regulatory, you will own Muvr’s commercial legal work and support regulatory compliance across the marketplace. You will partner closely with leadership, Partnerships, Sales, Product, and Operations teams to structure contracts, mitigate legal risk, and ensure Muvr operates in alignment with evolving regulations in logistics, mobility, and on-demand services.
This role is ideal for a business-oriented attorney who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys advising cross-functional teams on strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including merchant, enterprise, and platform partnership contracts
- Advise on regulatory compliance across transportation, logistics, labor classification, and marketplace operations
- Partner with Sales and Partnerships teams to support deal execution and scalable contract processes
- Provide legal guidance on product launches, marketplace policies, and operational risk mitigation
- Monitor regulatory changes across markets and ensure compliance readiness
- Support dispute resolution, claims escalation, and risk management initiatives
- Collaborate with Compliance, Trust & Safety, and Finance teams on governance frameworks
- Build scalable legal playbooks, templates, and contracting workflows as Muvr grows
Qualifications
Required
- JD and active bar membership in good standing
- 5+ years of experience in commercial law, regulatory counsel, or in-house legal roles
- Strong experience negotiating B2B agreements and supporting high-growth businesses
- Excellent legal judgment, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced startup environment
Preferred
- Experience in logistics, mobility, marketplaces, or on-demand service platforms
- Familiarity with transportation regulation, consumer protection, and operational compliance
- Experience supporting partnerships, enterprise sales, and platform integrations
- Passion for building scalable legal infrastructure in venture-backed startups
