About the Role
As Legal Counsel in the Governance, Risk & Compliance team, you are responsible for end-to-end document and contractual review, third-party compliance assessments, and cross-functional coordination across Piano's internal teams.
What you'll do
Compliance: Contribute actively to Piano's ongoing compliance efforts, in close coordination with the Group DPO and CISO.
- Participate in third-party compliance assessments, including DPAs, Transfer Impact Assessments (TIAs)
- Ensure proper follow-up on compliance requirements, tracking necessary document updates and renewals (RoPa)
- Support the continuous improvement of compliance processes and documentation standards (DPA, TOMs).
- Take part to compliance evaluation program (e.g. Europrivacy certification)
Governance: Lead and coordinate contractual relationships with main Piano's providers.
- Review, manage and structure key provider-related documentation, including contracts, and any other compliance-related documents, ensuring full alignment with Piano's standards and policies
- Identify and share risks assessments
- Coordinate when necessary with internal Piano teams (Legal, Security, Finance, Procurement, etc.), to ensure consistent negotiation and commitments
What we're looking for
- 7+ years of experience on contractual review
- At least 1 year of experience on compliance/privacy
- Proven expertiste in contract management
- Ability to handle several entities and stay compliant with legal requirements from various countries
- Advanced risk assessment abilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Fluency in business English is mandatory
- High level of organization
- Strong ability to work autonomously
- Solid understanding of privacy compliance
- Working knowledge of AI tools/usages
