We are seeking an experienced Senior Employment Counsel to join our Global Employment Law Team. Based in France, this role will serve as the lead employment law advisor for France while supporting complex employment matters across the EMEA region, including key markets such as Germany, Morocco, the Netherlands, and Poland.
The successful candidate will partner closely with HR, Employee Relations, business leaders, and legal colleagues to provide practical, business-focused employment law advice in a fast-paced multinational environment.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the primary legal advisor for employment law matters in France, including employment agreements, employee relations, terminations, investigations, and works council matters.
Advise HR and business leaders on employment law issues across EMEA and coordinate with external counsel when required.
Monitor legal and regulatory developments across Europe and provide proactive guidance on emerging risks and compliance requirements.
Draft and maintain employment templates, policies, handbooks, and other legal documentation.
Support strategic initiatives, including restructurings, acquisitions, organizational changes, and business expansion projects.
Lead or advise on workplace investigations involving employee complaints, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation matters.
Manage external counsel relationships and employment litigation across multiple jurisdictions.
Deliver employment law training and partner with stakeholders to promote consistent and compliant employment practices globally.
Qualifications
Qualified lawyer with a law degree and active bar admission in an EU jurisdiction.
8+ years of employment law experience gained in a law firm, multinational company, or a combination of both.
Strong expertise in French employment law and experience supporting multi-country employment matters across EMEA.
Experience working with works councils, collective labor matters, and cross-border employment issues.
Fluent in French and English; additional languages are a plus.
