This position will report to the Chief Legal Officer (CLO) and will be responsible for providing legal support to all legal entities of the Group in corporate law and labor law related matters. This position will work closely with HR, Operations, Compliance, CLO and senior leadership to ensure rigorous compliance with EU law.
Challenges that await you:
- Providing legal support to affiliated entities across various jurisdictions (Kingdom of Spain, Republic of Serbia, Republic of Cyprus, Republic of Kazakhstan, the United Arab Emirates, Georgia) with matters related to corporate law, labor law, contract law
- Providing expertise to formalize corporate-related procedures (changes of control/management, bylaws, sale of shares)
- Negotiating and drafting agreements for provision of services, partnership agreements, software purchase and licensing agreements, IT outsourcing agreements, SaaS agreements, maintenance and support agreements
- Administrating and fostering a closer relationship with local regulators and authorities across the jurisdictions in which the affiliated entities operate
- Improving the labor-related processes and management of service providers, ensuring alignment with corporate standards and compliance with applicable legal requirements
- Advising on applicable legal and regulatory frameworks applicable to local and international transactions
- Providing legal risk assessment and suggestions to enhance business value while mitigating downside risk across the company
- Taking reasonable risks within the context of the overall business, advising and implementing solutions to address any identified legal issues
- Proactively briefing executives on regulatory change and impacts
- Proactively identifying areas of opportunity and proposing potential solutions from the legal standpoint
What makes you a great fit:
- Bachelor of Laws (majoring in EU law)
- 10+ years practicing EU law at an international law firm or company
- Deep knowledge of the principles of EU corporate law, labor law, contract law
- Fluent in Spanish and English
