Senior Legal Counsel – Real Estate (Permanent)

An established real estate developer in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join its in-house legal team. The role will involve advising on complex transactions and supporting the business across the full lifecycle of real estate investments and developments. This position offers a seat at the table with a serious developer, providing direct involvement in strategic legal and commercial decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on real estate transactions, acquisitions, and joint ventures.
• Draft and negotiate share purchase agreements (SPAs), joint venture agreements, and commercial contracts.
• Support the business on asset management and development projects.
• Manage legal risks related to property investments and development activities.
• Work closely with senior management and internal stakeholders on strategic projects.
• Liaise with external counsel and oversee legal matters relating to major transactions.

Requirements

• 10+ years’ post-qualification experience (PQE).
• Strong background in real estate law and asset management.
• Experience gained from an international law firm and/or a large in-house legal environment.
• Proven experience handling complex real estate transactions.
• Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills.
